What Montag meant was if we don't use our critical thinking skills to assess want is going on around us, then we are doomed to repeat it. We were blessed with the most amazing equipment and we need to use our wonderful brains to question the happenings in our surroundings or really horrific things could happen. Being censored to only see others ideas of moral and just can be dangerous.
What I am bothered about is pet overpopulation. Statistics about pet overpopulation and putting a face on it I get very angry when I see stray animals roaming the streets, looking for food or shelter. I know that someone left them outside somewhere to fend for themselves and the animals are not fixed, so that just perpetuates the problem. When I see a stray roaming around I feed them, but I know that is not really going to help the problem. By the time I see the cat or dog they are usually in a pretty bad way, so I can not bring myself to take to the shelter to be put down. But, I know that would be the most responsible thing to do.
I try to do my part by taking in the strays I see and getting them fixed, but I am only one person and I can not do it all by myself.Adopt a friend We did have a storage trailer in the back that cats were living in and when they had babies I caught them and took the babies to the Humane Society, because I knew they would be adopted.
I know alot of people still think they are just dumb animals Why should we even care? Animals do have feelings and emotions. They deserve to be treated better. Or the owners think getting them fixed will hurt them in some way or the owners want to breed them, which I think is another factor in the problem.www.spayusa.org/main_directory/02.../benefits_sn.asp
It is every persons responsibility to take care of our pets and the overpopulation problem by adopting and fixing them, so we have no more unwanted animals.http://www.petfinder.com/adoption-stories/
